NOSEWORK SEMINAR with ANDREW RAMSEY
February 25th & 26th, 2012
Rancho del Rio presented by Canine Academy
Atascadero, California
A DIFFERENT APPROACH
Whether you are interested in Nosework activities for your dog but don’t know where to start or you are already involved in any organization that includes scent discrimination or odor recognition exercises, our Nosework Seminar can help you and your dog succeed.

Our system, with its ease of explanation, is tailored to be beneficial and simple to comprehend for everyone, from the most novice handler to seasoned trainers.  It perfectly blends the system currently in use by the Department of Defense with multiple private sector methods, and incorporates the use of a marker and reward based training to produce one integral program that results in absolutely clear communication with your dog.  Unlike traditional methods that promote extreme physical possession of the reward, our system utilizes play and "mini events" that will transition flawlessly to anyone familiar with reward based training.

RAMSEY K-9 SERVICES Nosework Seminars explain scent  detection and will teach you how to motivate and handle your dog to search for the legal target odors of your choice.

Andrew's Nosework lessons, seminars and classes use the same foundation training methods used to train Law Enforcement Detection K-9's but are designed for dogs and handlers who want to explore the activity of Nosework for fun or competition in any of the disciplines that offer it.  The goal of his Nosework classes is to engage the dog in the game of searching for a target odor and to teach the handler how to motivate, handle, read and reward the dog building a strong working partnership between the two of them.
